Harker’s Run-Crash and Beaver

I hike at the Miami University Natural Areas, almost every day, about 1-4 miles a day. I hike rain, snow, sleet or shine, no matter the weather or the conditions of the trails. I hike with my dog Peanut Butter, but I used to also take my dog Crash, who died a few years ago. She and Peanut Butter loved those hikes so much (Peanut still does). A few years ago, we noticed some beaver activity along the creek. We have never seen the beavers, but they are very industrious and interesting to watch their activity.

It is a very special place that means a lot to me, and has anchored and grounded me to nature, changes in the seasons, and has brought me a lot of peace and joy in my life.
